Oil and Rain
Oil and Rain is a classic 'opposites attact' romcom with a modern feel. Community curates, this fun and chaotic film was totally randomized! A group of local filmmakers got together and used a randomized wheel to choose the genre, conflict, and location. After a few brainstorming sessions, Oil and Rain was written, filmed, and edited by members of the group. It even placed 2nd runner up in the 2024 Fresh Black Films North event held in the family hometown of Mykael Roland, Newark, NJ.
